Our History

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!

We are starting a new study on Sunday mornings about church history. This study begins with the emergence of the new church after Jesus’s resurrection and ascension. Over the coming weeks, we will explore those first days of Christianity, leading up to the Reformation and the twentieth century. 

But why are we going to do a study on church history?

Because studying church history helps us understand the scriptures more deeply by examining the people and controversies of each era. 

In a sad yet comforting way, we also learn that the challenges of today are no different from those of the past.
