Reflecting on Last Week’s Bible Class
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Last week in Bible Class, we covered topics like miscarriage, IVF, and surrogacy. Although these topics weren’t planned for discussion, I received a question about miscarriage just before class and thought discussing it would be helpful for everyone.
Regrettably, there’s no way to fully address these topics in a single Bible class; they are profound issues that either have or will impact our lives as Christians. However, we as the Church do need to discuss these matters. We, as the Church, must learn to confess the Christian faith in light of these topics, to speak with kindness and love, to comfort the hurting and distressed with prayer, and to confess the precious gift and value of life.
If you have been affected by topics such as miscarriage, IVF, or surrogacy and would like to discuss them further, I invite you to reach out to me. You don’t have to walk these roads alone. If you’re interested in learning more, I’m glad to provide you with resources on these subjects. For now, I have included links to articles and books below that you may find helpful.
In Christ, Pastor Rogness
