Fourth Sunday after Trinity

Summer Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We have had a great week at Good Shepherd!

This past Wednesday, we had about sixty attendees at our first Family Night of the summer. It was a great chance to teach the children about Adam and Eve's first marriage in the Garden of Eden and for the adults to explore the introduction of the marriage rite. There was delicious food and fellowship, and the children played until they couldn't anymore!

Next week, the children will continue learning about Adam and Eve’s marriage, and the adults will explore the meaning of the marriage vows in the wedding ceremony.

As we look ahead to this Sunday, please plan to attend the Divine Service (July 13th). The Lutheran Church Extension Fund has generously provided Good Shepherd with a grant for a photographer and videographer to visit us and capture photos and videos. This will help us update our website and produce a promotional video for Good Shepherd.

The gentleman who will be with us is Thomas Kelly. Mr. Kelly is a member of an LCMS congregation in Sheboygan, WI, and understands the importance of the Divine Service, so he will stay in the back of the sanctuary throughout the Divine Service, and you shouldn’t even notice him.

There are many wonderful things happening at Good Shepherd this summer, and I hope you will be a part of them!

As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

In Christ,
Pastor Rogness
