Since its earliest days, the Lutheran church has safeguarded the faith through faithful instruction across age and stage. C. F. W. Walther, founding president of the LCMS, observed that for the Saxon immigrants who established this church body, a central concern was “the Christian education of their children in both church and school.”
At Good Shepherd, we carry forward that legacy—committing to nurture hearts and minds, not only among our youth in Sunday School and Confirmation, but also among adults engaged in Bible study, catechesis, and spiritual growth.
Even in our digital age, with its distractions and shifting truths, Christian education remains an anchor. Technology may speed information, but more than ever, Christ‑centered teaching offers clarity, formation, and faithfulness. In honoring Walther’s vision, we aim not merely to inform, but to disciple—teaching the whole counsel of God across generations, supported by Scripture, community, and enduring Lutheran conviction.

Christian Education Sunday School (All Year)
Sundays | 10:30 AM
Classes for 3 year-olds through 12th grade. All children and adults gather in the fellowship hall to open with devotions and prayer before heading off to their respective classes.

Scripture Study (All Year)
Sundays | 10:30 a.m.
Bible study is led by our pastor and held in the Fellowship Hall

Adult Instruction
Adult Instruction is a Catechism class for adults interested in membership at Good Shepherd, or current members interested in reviewing the foundations of the Christian Faith. Contact Pastor Rogness for more details and when the next session will be held.
